You need to pass the screen of the rent insurance company, no guarantor is required. You don’t have to understand Japanese. They speak English and you need to chose someone from your native country for the emergency contact person. It can be your parents, siblings even friends. The fee is usually 30 % of the monthly rent but it depends.
